Linked 4. Related 5. Hi, Is it possible to move Minecraft game data from Windows 7 pc to a Windows 10 pc? I have read some notes on the net and it says find the "saves" folder but I cannot seem to find that folder on a Windows 10 MC nstallation? Reply 2 years ago. It should work with Windows In the original example I used a Win 7 pc going to a Win 10 laptop.
The laptop no longer has Minecraft, so I can't test it again. It may be possible that the saves folder doesn't appear until a world is made, so if you don't have any worlds on the new computer, you could try to make one and see if the folder pops up after that. Otherwise it could be hidden or named something else.
Hope this helps. Did you download and install Minecraft from their website or did you install it from the Windows Store?
